The Midwestern Association of Parasitologists is a regional affiliate of the American Society of Parasitologists. Our annual conference is called the Annual Conference of Parasitologists (AMCOP) and provides for a gathering of parasitologists and students of parasitology to provide informal discussion of research and teaching in parasitology and the advancement of the best interests of parasitology. This conference is open to all interested persons, regardless of place of work, residence, or affiliation in other recognized societies. There are three categories of membership, Emeritus, Regular and Student. Annual dues are required from members (Emeritus and Regular: $20, Students: $10) and a registration fee is charged during registration at the annual conferences.
Our 2023 meeting is scheduled to take place at University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and is scheduled for June 1 – 3, 2023. The details for registration will be available soon.

Currently winners of the Herrick and LaRue awards each receive $300 and the winner of the Cable award receives $200. On occasion, Honorable Mention awards are also given, each receiving $100. At the present time, all five student award winners are also eligible to receive an additional $200 travel grant to present their winning presentation at another scientific meeting.
